I've heard bad things about the Endyn stepper pulley not fitting correctly and they have a tendency to slip. Stepper pulleys tend to yield roughly a 2-3 psi increase depending on your entire setup including exhaust. 10 lbs is still a reliable boost level for the JR kit without some sort of "intercooler".

Hi all, I was just after some advice. I am from australia and just bought a jackson racing supercharger to go on a 89 CRX SiR. The jrsc is second hand but almost new and came with an endyne pulley and a stock.

The endyne pulley is supposed to set boost at around 10 - 10.5 psi? I think? I am unsure whether to put the stock pulley in or the endyne pulley.

Q1: Is this too much boost without some kind of intercooler? will it damage the supercharger?

Q2: Would you recommend that I install some kind of water injection kit to cool the intake temperatures?

Id like to run the higher boost but I still want reliability and dont want to do damage to my motor or supercharger. And apparently its a pain in the ass to change the pulleys once installed.

I currently run the Endyn stepper on a 1994 B16... boost went from 7 to 10psi. Its a blast to drive, you'll love it!!

In response to BoostedEX: I've heard many people complain about stepper fitment, but mine fits perfectly. Perhaps the design was improved at some point, I got mine about a year and a half ago.
Swapping the pulley is a bit tricky but can be done, took me about 2..3 hours I think.

_If_ tuned correctly, I'm confident you can safely run 10psi. The Eaton blower is designed to be used between 5 and 10psi, check out the Eaton website for details. However, I wouldn't run 10psi on the stock injectors, FMU and pump, so if the stuff you bought doesn't include upgrades for those I'd start with the stock pulley!!!

Water injection is a possibility, but not to my personal taste- I don't like to add extra consumables that you have to make sure you don't run out of. However, many people here use water injection.
